The Infectious Diseases Department of Greenwich Hospital has three specialty areas:

Infection Control and Prevention Program helps prevent, identify and control infections that may be acquired in the hospital.

Infectious Diseases Antibiotic Program (IDAP) delivers intravenous medications to patients in outpatient settings.

Infectious Diseases Consultants of Greenwich: Physician specialists in this private practice are available as consultants to evaluate and treat infectious diseases, as well as for travel immunizations. Most patients are referred by other physicians, but patients can refer themselves.

Travel Immunizations

Greenwich Hospital's Infectious Diseases Department offers malaria prevention treatment and many types of immunizations required for foreign travel, including yellow fever, typhoid, meningitis, hepatitis A, polio and Japanese encephalitis. Try to schedule six weeks before your departure date.
