Our Team

The Center for Behavioral & Nutritional Health is staffed with experienced specialists working together to help people improve their health.

Our team collaborates with physicians in other departments, including Weight Loss (Bariatric) Surgery, The Sleep Center and Heart & Vascular. Our staff is also a resource for primary care physicians seeking ways to help patients better manage medical issues related to behavioral health, nutrition and diabetes.

Team members include:

Richard Becker, MS.Ed, RCEP, CDE, is a certified diabetes educator and exercise physiologist, and is coordinator of the Diabetes Self-Management Program at the Center for Behavioral and Nutritional Health. Richard specializes in providing practical diabetic education in topics such as self-care, medications, diet, exercise, and micro/macrovascular diseases.

Noelle Berger, PhD, is a psychologist who specializes in the treatment of chronic pain, chronic medical conditions, cardiac conditions, and neurological conditions including traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy and migraine headaches. She has specialized training in biofeedback, cognitive behavioral therapy for chronic pain, emotional freedom technique and Medical Qigong. She is also experienced in treating depression and anxiety disorders including post-traumatic stress disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and phobias.

Gregory Berlin, PhD, is a psychologist specializing in behavioral treatment for insomnia, coping with chronic medical conditions, psycho-oncology, and health-related anxiety. He utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and digital interventions to promote healthy functioning in the midst of acute or ongoing medical stress. Dr. Berlin’s additional clinical interests include anxiety and depression, bariatric surgery and behavioral weight loss, and motivational interviewing.

Alexandra Conway, PhD, is a psychologist specializing in chronic pain, migraine and headache disorders, stress management, weight management, and anxiety and managing chronic medical conditions. She uses cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based treatments to help improve well-being and quality of life. Her other areas of interest include diabetes, insomnia, women’s health, medical trauma and mind-body medicine.

Jennifer Denkin, PhD, is a psychologist with specialties in behavioral medicine and management of chronic medical conditions, weight management, emotional eating and bariatric surgery. Her additional areas of expertise include anxiety, self-esteem and women's issues. In her clinical practice, Dr. Denkin focuses on the mind-body connection and improving overall wellness by increasing coping skills and modifying maladaptive thoughts and behaviors.

Linda Germaine-Miller, RD, CDCES, is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator who specializes in the management of diabetes, obesity and lipid disorders. She is interested in the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. As a yoga practitioner, Linda is experienced in helping patients manage stress through mind body awareness.

Joshua I. Hrabosky, PsyD, is a psychologist, specializing in weight management and issues related to bariatric surgery, body image and self-esteem in addition to cognitive-behavioral therapy, depression and anxiety.

Mary E. Motwani, PhD, is a psychologist with specialty training in areas of behavioral medicine, including diabetes and weight management, behavioral cardiology, lifestyle adjustment to chronic medical conditions, bariatric surgery, organ transplant and chronic pain. Her additional areas of interest and expertise include depression and anxiety disorders, attachment and interpersonal concerns, trauma-based disorders, cultural and spiritual diversity issues, and mindfulness-based approaches.
