Dr. Rachel Marshall is a licensed clinical psychologist at the Center for Behavioral and Nutritional Health and an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. She has specialized training and expertise in behavioral weight management and treatment for eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). She also helps patients address common co-occurring conditions, such as anxiety, depression, body image concerns, and weight stigma.
Dr. Marshall provides individual therapy, tailoring evidence-based treatments to each person. She guides patients in making small, sustainable lifestyle changes improve their health and overall quality of life. She also leads structured, skills-based group therapy for patients with eating and weight concerns. Treatments that she offers include cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral weight management, motivational interviewing, exposure and response prevention, behavioral activation, and mindfulness-based interventions.
