Biography - Jing Du, MD, PhD

Jing Du, MD, PhD, specializes in medical oncology and hematology, with a focus on treating patients with breast cancer.

As an instructor of medicine in medical oncology at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Du studies the environment surrounding a tumor, including blood vessels, immune cells, and other cells that can affect how the tumor grows. She uses advanced techniques to identify new markers, or indicators, that can help in diagnosing and treating cancer more effectively. She is actively involved in clinical trials, where she leads efforts to test new treatments and therapies for cancer.

Dr. Du received her medical degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and her doctoral degree in biochemistry from the University of South Carolina. Dr. Du pursued a Kirschstein-NRSA Training Fellowship at Yale School of Medicine and completed her residency and fellowship in medical oncology-hematology at Yale New Haven Health.
