Biography - Edward P. Manning, MD, PhD

Edward Manning, MD, PhD, is a specialist in pulmonary and critical care medicine who treats people with lung diseases and breathing challenges. He diagnoses and manages conditions such as persistent shortness of breath and chronic lung disorders, using a range of approaches to improve patients’ well-being.

As an assistant professor of medicine (pulmonary) at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Manning studies how prolonged low oxygen levels and aging can alter the blood vessels of the lungs and affect heart function. His work aims to develop strategies that support long-term cardiopulmonary health.

Dr. Manning pursued his medical training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completed a residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and gained further expertise through a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Yale School of Medicine.
