Greenwich, CT (August 1, 2018) – Greenwich Hospital’s Internal Medicine Residency Program has expanded with the addition of two new physicians.

After receiving a bachelor in science in biochemistry from UCLA and a medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Tyer completed an internship, residency and a chief residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center followed by one year of clinical endocrinology at UCLA Medical Center. Before joining GH, Dr. Tyer held an academic appointment at Weill Cornell College of Medicine in New York City. In addition to her work as a general internist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Weill Cornell Medical Associates, Dr. Tyer has extensive experience teaching medical students and residents.

Alison Thompson, MD, will assume the responsibilities of chief resident for the 2018-2019 academic year. Before joining Greenwich Hospital, Dr. Thompson was a third-year resident in the Traditional Internal Medicine Residency Program at Yale New Haven Hospital, where she was known as an outstanding clinician and a leader of resident teams.
