Community Benefits

community benefits 2023

Every year, as part of our vital mission to promote health and wellness throughout the Greenwich area, Greenwich Hospital sponsors, develops and participates in a wide variety of community-based programs and services. During 2023, Greenwich Hospital managed $56.6 million in financial aid in-kind contributions through five wide-ranging programs: Guaranteeing Access to Care; Advancing Careers in Health Care; Promoting Health & Wellness; Creating Healthier Communities; and Building Stronger Neighborhoods. We are proud to summarize those efforts in the annual Community Benefit Report.

Today’s health care opens to a world of possibilities. Our vision is to bring all that health care offers to our communities, building a brighter, healthier future for everyone. For over 120 years, GH has served the medical needs of the community and trained thousands of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals. Today, as a member of Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) — which also includes Yale New Haven Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, Westerly Hospital and Northeast Medical Group — GH is a distinguished institution whose 1,942 employees are dedicated to the health and wellbeing needs of our community.
