Become a Volunteer

If you can commit three hours or more each week, Greenwich Hospital welcomes you as a volunteer.

• Volunteer orientations and training seminars make sure you become familiar with hospital policies and procedures.
• Opportunities are also available for junior volunteers, age 15 and older. These younger volunteers perform many of the same services as the adults. Junior volunteers gain valuable community service experience along with the satisfaction of making an important contribution to the hospital.

Junior Volunteers

Our high school students gain valuable community service experience while simultaneously enjoying the satisfaction of knowing they make an important contribution to the hospital and gain experience within a hospital setting. Students must be at least 15 years old and available to commit to a minimum of 50 volunteer hours per year.  

While we do not offer opportunities for volunteers to shadow medical staff or gain clinical experience, we do offer a variety of rewarding and educational assignments with a behind-the-scenes look at healthcare and its careers. In addition to the hospital setting, teen volunteers can also gain experience in retail business by volunteering in our gift shops and thrift shop enterprises.
